The yorkshire boys

We had arrived in Tortosa for a weeks fishing from the banks of the RiverEbro not realising that 99% are inaccesable, we did our best and was successful in catching the odd fish. We had contacted Natalie prior to our visit and found her very helpful in the advice offered, to make what was a great week really memorable we decided to book a nights fishing with Catfishing Adventures. We arrived on the night feeling hopeful, our guide (Graham) was ready for us and we were soon gliding over the river to our first location. We had only been there 10 minutes when a big cat surfaced in the middle of the river, we were now on edge, a run happened shortly after, we missed it but soon after that we hooked into a 45lbs catfish which buried itself into the weed and tried to stay there. It took anxious minutes before it was landed. We moved swims and again into another Catfish this one 52lbs, what had been a great week was now transformed into an unforgetable one.

Thanks for the experience from Greg, Charlie and Paul (The Yorkshire Boys)
We look forward to our next adventure with you.

Nat the guide

Natalie took Graham and Carole out yesterday for a 4 hour session after catfish, Natalie thought she would try a new swim not fished before, nothing happened for about about 90 minutes when Natalie noticed catfish moving out from under a tree to chase baitfish and then back under the tree again, 2 rods were re-postioned to intercept these fish, within 2 minutes both rods screamed off, Graham hooked a fish which went downstream and Natalie hooked the other which went upstream, the run was powerful and when Natalie offered the rod to Carole she declined the offer, after the fish had taken 200 yards of line Natalie thought she was going to be spooled, it was not possible to up anchor as the 2 fish had gone in opposite directions, Natalie then decided to be brave and she engaged the baitrunner the fish slowed and then changed direction which enabled Natalie to gain some line the fish then used it´s shear size and weight against the current making several more powerful runs down stream, before slowly coming to the boat, whilst this was happening Graham was holding his fish in the water unsure how they were going to land both fish, for the first time Graham gloved and landed his own fish, Natalie then passed her rod to Graham whilst she gloved her fish, but for the first time in 4 years guiding on the river she could not pull this fish over the side of the boat, the rod was then passed to Carole then Graham helped Natalie get this fish onto the boat. Graham´s fish was weighed first at 73lbs it was quickly returned to the water then Natalie´s fish was weighed 3 times at 182lbs, within 30 minutes of this double hook up Graham caught a 118lb catfish making for a very good 4 hour session.
